Vocación funcional y productiva de los 11 territorios de gestión para la inversión pública. Región Metropolitana de Santiago

Abstract

En el marco de la definición técnico-política de los once territorios para la gestión y la inversión pública de la Región Metropolitana de Santiago (RMS), el presente documento de trabajo resalta e identifica la vocación funcional (concentración de los servicios terciarios y movilidad) y productiva (actividades primarias y secundarias) de cada una de estas unidades territoriales. Para su desarrollo, se ha considerado como base el informe resumen ejecutivo del Marco Orientador Territorial (MOT) del Proyecto OTAS (Contreras y Ubilla, 2005), los datos de la superficie (INE, 2001), del censo de población y vivienda de 2002 (INE, 2002). En algunos casos se aborda: la población en condición de pobreza (MIDEPLAN, 2006), la proyección de población al año 2010 (INE, 2005) y los usos de suelo (Gobierno Regional Metropolitano de Santiago, Universidad de Chile y Agencia de Cooperación Alemana [GTZ], 2003).
