Abstract

La cultura en España ya había conseguido trazar un camino de democracia y libertad durante el franquismo. En 1977 el poeta Vicente Aleixandre obtuvo el premio Nobel de Literatura, una recompensa a los méritos del escritor y a la misma cultura española que había sobrevivido a la dictadura. Al año siguiente, la Constitución Española definía el marco de vuelta a la normalidad. Un activo fundamental del logro y consolidación de la nueva sociedad española democrática y de su presencia internacional ha sido y es la cultura y, más específicamente, la lengua española. Se trata de un activo cuyos méritos son del conjunto de países hispanohablantes y no únicamente de España. Y, también se trata de un hallazgo para España en tanto que no era consciente del valor universal de la lengua. En estas páginas se aborda el estudio de la cultura y la industria cultural de la España actual. Este trabajo es una versión detallada de otro más amplio publicado en Francia
