Abstract

La question de la gestion des travailleurs vieillissants se pose de manière aigue. De nombreux travaux l'abordent de façon normative et fragmentée. Ce rapport analyse la réalité des pratiques en la matière en articulant plusieurs niveaux. Il s'appuie sur plusieurs enquêtes monographiques réalisées dans la chimie et le bâtiment, secteurs reconnus pour la pénibilité de leurs conditions de travail. Dans la chimie, les acteurs intègrent la problématique du vieillissement lors de la mise en place des nombreux plans sociaux. Dans le bâtiment, la proportion de travailleurs âgés est inférieure, en raison d'une éviction de fait d'une grande partie d'entre eux. La question du vieillissement ne se pose donc pas dans les mêmes termes selon les modes de production et les conventions sectorielles.
