Abstract

To understand the connection between assessment and the configuration of a reform is crucial to understand said reform. Regarding the French "Revenu de solidarité active", many studies pointed out the instrumentalization and ideological biases of their assessments. The process tracing of this reform through microsimulations allows for a new reading. Despite the lack of interest of the researchers for the use of microsimulations in these assessments, this very instrument was essential to shape and legitimate the reform.
