Abstract

Eté 2016. 10h, mardi matin, réunion de labo au Center for Ocean Solutions (COS), Université de Stanford, Monterey, California . Ce centre de recherche a pour mission de résoudre les problèmes majeurs auxquels sont confrontés les océans et de former les futurs leaders amenés à répondre à ces défis. COS est né d'un partenariat entre de multiples centres et institutions (Stanford à travers le Woods Institute et Hopkins Marine Center, Monterey Bay Aquarium et Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute). Le centre est interdisciplinaire (sciences naturelles et sciences sociales) et bi-localisé, à la fois sur le campus de Stanford et sur le campus de Monterey. La réunion se fait donc par BlueJeans, un logiciel de réunion à distance, avec deux écrans diffusant en temps réel chaque équipe. Une vingtaine de personnes au total sont présentes. Une partie du centre est en déplacement, soit à Hawaii pour une conférence, soit pour faire du terrain, mais la majorité des membres est là.
