Abstract

Les exonérations de cotisations sociales patronales appliquées aux entreprises représentent le poste le plus important des subventions aux entreprises. Si leur influence directe sur la création d'emploi a fait l'objet de nombreuses évaluations, rares sont les recherches qui proposent d'en estimer les effets sur la compétitivité. Cet article apporte un éclairage sur le sujet en abordant la question du point de vue des exportations des entreprises. Pour ce faire, cet article propose une analyse empirique sur données individuelles françaises au cours de la période 2004-2011 des déterminants de la probabilité d'exporter, de la fréquence des exportations et de leur intensité. Nos résultats mettent en évidence un effet négatif des exonérations sur l'engagement à l'export des entreprises. Il est confirmé quels que soient l'indicateur, la période et le secteur retenus.
