De la directive européenne « Nitrates » aux plans algues vertes en Bretagne : les apports des scientifiques INRAE

Abstract

Depuis les années 1970, les chercheurs de l'Institut étudient les flux de nitrates d'origine agricole depuis la parcelle jusqu'au bassin versant et leur impact sur l'équilibre biologique des milieux aquatiques. Les modèles agrohydrologiques développés ont permis une meilleure compréhension des flux de nitrates et d'aider les acteurs de terrain à la mise en œuvre des politiques territoriales. Avec le déploiement des plans de lutte contre les algues vertes en Bretagne (PLAV), les scientifiques sont peu à peu passés d'une position d'experts rendant des avis à une position de médiateurs accompagnant les différentes parties prenantes par le partage des connaissances scientifiques sur le sujet. Ces années d'expérience ont débouché sur la création d'une formation dédiée aux nouveaux élus amenés à s'impliquer dans le PLAV en capitalisant sur les savoirs des anciens élus et sur les connaissances scientifiques.
