Abstract

L'objet de la présente étude est d'évaluer l'impact des revenus issus de l'exploitation du gaz naturel sur la croissance économique au Cameroun. Pour tester notre hypothèse selon laquelle les revenus issus de l'exploitation du gaz naturel au Cameroun affectent positivement la croissance, nous avons effectué une analyse de régression par la Méthode des Moindres Carrés Ordinaires pour notre modélisation sur la période 2005-2020. Les résultats des estimations économétriques obtenus montrent que les revenus issus du gaz naturel affectent positivement la croissance économique au Cameroun. Le gouvernement gagnerait à améliorer le climat des affaires au Cameroun afin d'attirer des capitaux étrangers dans le sous secteur gazier. La mise en place d'une politique de formation des jeunes camerounais aux métiers d'extraction et valorisation du gaz serait un atout et permettra au Cameroun de disposer des ressources humaines compétentes capables d'intervenir dans chaque maillon de la chaîne
