Abstract

L'étude sur ' les causes profondes de la migration irrégulière dans la région du Processus de Rabat ', initialement réalisée pour nourrir les débats lors de la réunion thématique traitant cette question, organisée par la France à Paris en octobre 2018 dans le cadre du Processus de Rabat, a pour objectif d'éclairer les débats scientifiques et politiques sur l'émigration internationale récente. Privilégiant une approche qualitative, cette étude propose de se pencher sur les causes de l'émigration dans la région du Processus de Rabat en se plaçant du point de vue des premiers acteurs de la migration - les candidats au départ, les migrants et leurs familles. Il s'agit non seulement de dépasser l'approche expliquant la migration par des déterminants uniquement extérieurs (facteurs économiques, démographiques, environnementaux, politiques), mais également de s'affranchir de l'idée selon laquelle les causes des migrations' irrégulières ' et celles des migrations' régulières ' seraient distinctes.
