Abstract

Ce document constitue le rapport final du programme européen FAIR5-CT97-3481, qui avait pour objectif de fournir un ensemble d'analyses abordant les principales questions risquant de se poser au cours du nouveau cycle de négociations commerciales agricoles à l'Organisation mondiale du commerce (OMC). Les analyses visaient à fournir un examen complet des enjeux liés à ces questions, une analyse de leurs conséquences pour l'avenir de la politique agricole commune et une évaluation quantitative des effets sur le secteur agricole européen des éventuelles propositions d'engagements qui pourraient émerger des discussions à l'OMC. Le rapport décrit les objectifs, la méthode et les résultats obtenus pour chacune des questions étudiées dans le cadre de ce programme : accès au marché ; soutien interne ; évaluation de l'impact de réformes commerciales sur les marchés et les échanges agricoles ; évaluation de l'impact de réformes de diverses Organisations communes de marchés ; évaluation des effets des mesures techniques aux échanges ; économie des barrières non tarifaires aux échanges.
