Abstract

Dans le prolongement de l'ouvrage les grands groupes français de transport de voyageurs : histoire,stratégies, diversifications paru en novembre 1999, le CERTU propose ici de relater la vie des groupes français depuis 1999, année au cours de laquelle la SNCF a fait irruption dans le monde des transports urbains avant de devenir opérateur ferroviaire à l'étranger. Ce document tente de démontrer que le secteur n'a pas fini d'être agité : l'apparition d'offres publiques d'achat inamicales comme durant l'été 2000, l'arrivée probable d'un grand groupe anglais dans l'hexagone, surtout l'autorisation accordée à la RATP d'aller en province à l'étranger, vont engendrer une concurrence plus âpre sur certains marchés et, vraisemblablement, une reconfiguration de certains groupes français, à bref délai ...
