« Imitation based view », une approche explicative des choix stratégiques d'internationalisation des banques marocaines

Abstract

Cette recherche se focalise sur l'imitation concurrentielle en matière d'internationalisation afin de développer une approche par imitation pour expliquer le développement international des entreprises. Quatre composants (pourquoi, qui, quoi et comment) d'une stratégie s'internationalisation par imitation sont développés. Les entreprises s'internationalisent par imitation pour garantir une parité concurrentielle voire de créer un avantage compétitif. Les entreprises internationales peuvent se développer par imitation fondée par la fréquence ou les caractéristiques. Pour ce faire, elles imitent à la fois la localisation et le mode d'entrée dans un pays d'accueil et développent la capacité d'apprentissage par observation ou de l'absorption en fonction de leur taille. Sur le plan managérial, cet article offre aux décideurs qui ont l'intention d'imiter des pistes pour élaborer une stratégie internationle par imitation. Enfin, nous espérons que l'article participe à redresser la perception négative de l'imitation que peuvent encore avoir certains chercheurs en sciences de gestion.
