Abstract

L'articulation Banque et Microfinance est à l'heure actuelle un enjeu majeur de l'intermédiation financière dans les économies en développement, notamment en Afrique de subsaharienne. Alors que plusieurs études se sont intéressées aux modèles d'articulation entre les deux secteurs, peu se sont vraiment penchées sur l'analyse théorique de cette relation de complémentarité. Ce travail cherche à contribuer à l'analyse théorique de la complémentarité entre les deux secteurs. Il prend appui sur les approches institutionnalistes pour montrer en quoi le secteur bancaire et celui de la microfinance se trouvent institutionnellement complémentaires. Il contribue modestement à l'analyse théorique de la relation de complémentarité entre les deux secteurs. Cette complémentarité est en particulier modélisée à travers la théorie de la firme-J de Aoki.
