L’apport de la non-linéarité des règles dans la conduite de la politique monétaire : application à l’économie tunisienne

Abstract

L'objectif de cet article est d'appliquer des techniques économétriques récentes pour élucider le comportement de la banque centrale tunisienne lors de la conduite de la politique monétaire en des circonstances dites spéciales (retombées de la crise subprime, la chute du pouvoir d'achat en Europe, choc révolutionnaire ….) A l'issu d'un exercice d'estimation d'une règle de Taylor augmentée d'une variable de TCRE et celle non linéaire en utilisant un modèle de régression à transition lisse sur la période 2002.T2-2013.T2, nous trouvons que la spécification linéaire en imposant un régime unique constant tout au long de l'échantillon ne parvient pas à tenir compte des changements structurels au niveau des préoccupations des autorités monétaires ce qui risque de déboucher sur des conclusions biaisées.
