Abstract

Aspirations à la liberté, à la démocratie et au bien être... les manifestants de nombreux pays expriment des formes émergeantes de la contestation et de l'émancipation même si les contextes nationaux sont forts différents en terme de liberté de la presse, d'ancienneté des mouvements de contestation12, de formes et de l'ampleur de la corruption, de ressources stratégiques (pétrole, gaz...), de place de l'armée dans la société, de multipartisme13, d'accès aux nouvelles technologies... Les questions soulevées dans cet article sont les suivantes : Comment les populations du pourtour Méditerranéen perçoivent-elles l'état de la démocratie dans leur pays ? Comment expliquent-elles ce vent de révolte ? Quelles sont leurs attentes ? Leurs espoirs ? Leur rêve d'avenir pour leur pays ? Les aspirations ou préoccupations des jeunes du Sud de la Méditerranée sont-elles très éloignées de ceux des jeunes du Sud de la Méditerranée ? Quelle est leur représentation sociale (RS) de la démocratie ?
