Abstract

Statt eines übergeordneten strategischen Konzepts prägt eine Vielzahl von Einzelmaßnahmen die Wirtschafts- und Sozialpolitik unter Nicolas Sarkozy. Zentrale wirtschaftspolitische Maßnahmen wie die Verringerung der Steuerund Abgabenlast zur Stärkung der Kaufkraft oder die Reduzierung der öffentlichen Ausgaben entsprechen in ihren Resultaten nicht den ursprünglichen Zielsetzungen. Überstürzt eingebrachte Reformvorhaben, darunter die Aufweichung der 35- Stunden-Woche oder die Einführung des Aktiven Solidaritätseinkommens, müssen im Laufe ihres Umsetzungsprozesses korrigiert und modifiziert werden. Ernüchterung, Enttäuschung und Ungewissheit über die langfristige Zielsetzung der Reformen bestimmen die gesellschaftliche Reaktion und führen zu einer zunehmenden Infragestellung der aktuellen französischen Wirtschafts- und Sozialpolitik.
