Abstract

Le monde des paiements a connu au cours des dernières années d'importantes innovations technologiques, dont les derniers-nés sont les crypto-actifs. Du célèbre bitcoin aux stablecoins, ces nouveaux actifs suscitent autant d'enthousiasme que de craintes. Quelles sont leur nature et leur valeur intrinsèque ? L'argent investi en crypto-actifs est-il autant en sécurité que dans une banque ? Les crypto-actifs sont-ils surveillés et régulés ? Mais l'impact des crypto- actifs ne s'arrête pas là. En effet, ils ont également donné naissance à un nouveau modèle de finance, la finance décentralisée (DeFi). Quelles sont les spécificités de cette finance sans intermédiaire ? Du côté monétaire, face à cette nouvelle « guerre des monnaies » entre devises officielles et monnaies privées numériques, comment réagissent les banques centrales ? Quels outils développent-elles pour défendre leur souveraineté ? A travers une analyse claire et accessible, les auteurs répondent à ces questionnements qui font l'objet de vifs débats, et les démystifient. Ce livre s'adresse non seulement aux professionnels de la banque, de la finance et de l'assurance, ainsi qu'aux juristes, mais il constitue également une ressource incontournable pour les étudiants des écoles de commerce, d'ingénieurs, des instituts d'études politiques et des universités.
