Abstract

Despite the surge in employability research, there is no research on the evolution and intellectual structure of this concept. The volatile labour market strains career paths and, as a result, the employability of individuals. Therefore, it is essential to provide an in-depth understanding of employability research. This study adopts an approach using bibliometric analysis to analyze the 2054 articles published between 1973 and 2023. The bibliometric data is extracted from Scopus. The findings of the bibliometric analysis have highlighted the most influential works, prominent authors, current research trends, and cluster analysis allowed to capture a more comprehensive view of the research landscape. Seven clusters are extracted from this analysis.
