Abstract

À revisiter le modèle de Solow aujourd'hui, on s'aperçoit qu'il procède à une réduction de l'analyse de Harrod en la reformulant dans les termes de l'équilibre des marchés concurrentiels qui excluent, par construction, la probabilité des déséquilibres. Cette réduction, qui fait de la fonction de production agrégée la pierre angulaire de macroéconomie, suppose la stabilité acquise en se référant implicitement à la loi de l'offre et de la demande. Faute de démonstration de la capacité d'auto-régulation du marché qu'implique cette loi, le cheminement de l'économie vers une position d'équilibre est hautement compromis et la coordination par les prix prise en défaut.
