La construction d’une politique de soutien aux aidants en France. Un éclairage par analyse textuelle de la presse quotidienne

Abstract

Informal carers are the main providers of care for the sick, elderly or disabled people. Measures to support them in their activities have been developped since the 2000s. This article analyses the construction of a support policy for informal carers in France, using a textual analysis of daily press articles from 1990 to 2018. The support policy for informal carers is based on different images - carers as ressource, carers as co-worker, carers as co-beneficiaries - who show the evolution of their place in long term care policy from the mid-2000s. This shift towards a care-recipient-caregiving dyad centered regime is discussed compared to the reconfigurations of the Welfare-mix.
