Dépendance stratégique aux matériaux critiques de la BITD française

Abstract

La sécurisation des chaînes d'approvisionnements est un enjeu stratégique pour les entreprises de la défense, à la fois immédiat et durable. Toutes les études concluent à une très forte augmentation des besoins sociétaux, écologiques et économiques en matériaux critiques dans les prochaines décennies. Dans une période de vives tensions géopolitiques, il en va également de la souveraineté et de l'indépendance de la BITD française et européenne. Les métaux remplissent désormais des fonctions critiques dans la plupart des hautes technologies employées dans nos économies modernes. Près de six matériaux sur dix utilisés dans la BITD sont critiques. L'exemple du tungstène est révélateur des enjeux en question.
