15,2 millions d'entrées dans les lieux de mémoire contemporains en France en 2019

Abstract

En 2019, la fréquentation des lieux de mémoire atteint 15,2 millions d'entrées, dont 1,3 million de scolaires et 3,4 millions de visiteurs étrangers. Plus de 9 700 personnes œuvrent dans les sites de mémoire, dont une grande majorité de bénévoles du monde associatif. La région Normandie connait une affluence record liée au 75ème anniversaire du débarquement : ses sites enregistrent 6,4 millions d'entrées. Additionnées aux entrées en Île-de-France, dans les Hauts-de-France et dans le Grand Est, ces quatre régions représentent 85 % de la fréquentation métropolitaine.
