Abstract

Alors que se diffuse massivement ce qu'on appelle la « nouvelle gestion publique » dans tous les services publics, dont celui de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche, les situations dites de "souffrances au travail" se multiplient, donnant lieu à des dispositifs institutionnels, qui diffèrent selon les universités autonomes, de gestion des risques dits "psychosociaux". Nous montrons dans cet article que les dispositifs RPS tels qu'ils existent dans certaines universités sont un outil managérial, une manière d'individualiser le diagnostic et l'accompagnement des personnels en souffrance, en contournant et détournant les instances et les acteurs (notamment syndicaux) qui seraient en mesure de proposer un diagnostic collectif et socio-organisationnel des facteurs de souffrance.
