Abstract

En raison du développement des villes et de l'accroissement de la population, les zones périurbaines et rurales subissent l'influence des métropoles et sont fortement convoitées. L'étalement urbain impose ainsi une réflexion sur l'usage des sols de ces espaces car cette pression génère, notamment, des modifications des écosystèmes naturels du fait de l'artificialisation des sols et de la fragmentation des habitats faunistiques et floristiques, conséquences de l'extension des infrastructures linéaires de transport. Les impacts de ces changements ne sont pas neutres pour les populations locales :la dégradation de l'espace vert et naturel peut entraîner une perte de bien-être dans les zones concernées.
