Abstract

Cette communication porte sur les effets de la crise sanitaire mondiale sur les acquisitions des entreprises multinationales. La pandémie liée à la Covid-19 est considérée comme un choc exogène : un événement brutal, rare et imprévisible provoquant un climat d'incertitude qui contraint les entreprises à adapter leurs stratégies de développement. L'étude empirique est fondée sur l'analyse des acquisitions réalisées par les multinationales françaises du CAC 40 durant l'année 2020. Les résultats mettent en relief les conséquences de la crise sur la politique d'acquisition des multinationales. Trois groupes de multinationales peuvent être identifiés : (1) les multinationales ayant réalisé des acquisitions dans une perspective de digitalisation et d'innovation, (2) les multinationales ayant réalisé des acquisitions dans une perspective de croissance, notamment à l'international et (3) les multinationales n'ayant pas réalisé d'acquisition. Notre recherche montre les effets qu'un choc exogène peut avoir sur la politique d'acquisition des entreprises multinationales.
