Abstract

Cette note de lecture de l'ouvrage "Libres d'obéir. Le management du nazisme à aujourd'hui" de Johann Chapoutot proposons une relecture de cette "étude de cas" historique pour la réinsérer dans le champ des études sur les organisations. Nous présenterons tout d'abord les propositions principales, sujettes à nombre d'approximations, de Chapoutot sur cette doctrine nazie du management et ses prolongements après-guerre. Nous montrerons ensuite que la conclusion très discutable à laquelle arrive l'auteur provient d'une "double généralisation" abusive. Nous enchaînerons avec une lecture personnelle, alternative à celle de l'auteur, de cette "étude de cas" des pratiques nazies en les relisant à l'aune de la distinction nécessaire entre autorité et pouvoir. Nous terminerons cet essai en envisageant les leçons qui peuvent être tirées de cette étude historique, en gardant comme horizon normatif les conditions de l'émancipation des travailleurs.
