Un an après le choc externe de la COVID-19, les marchés financiers sont-ils « immunisés » ?

Abstract

Cela fait maintenant un an que le monde est en crise sanitaire, en crise économique et sociale. Il doit faire face à la pandémie de la COVID-19 responsable d'une surmortalité de sa population, à la récession économique qui se traduit par un chômage massif, des défauts de paiement et des faillites d'entreprises, un accroissement des inégalités. Un an après, le monde de la finance semble lui avoir surmonté la crise sanitaire et ne pas être en crise. Les mesures prises dès le mois de mars 2020 par les régulateurs, les banques centrales, pour soutenir le monde de la finance ont-elles permis d'éviter une crise financière ? Le « vaccin » injecté par les superviseurs et régulateurs au monde de la finance participera-t-il à une « immunité collective » contre cette récession destructrice ? Le monde de la finance va-t-il œuvrer avec les États pour un monde post-COVID-19 plus soutenable, solidaire et égalitaire ?
