Évolutions logistiques dans la grande distribution : de l’optimisation à la coordination des flux

Abstract

La grande distribution en France a plus de quarante ans. L'objectif de cet article est de dresser un bilan de l'évolution des préoccupations logistiques de cette forme de négoce. Trois périodes « logistiques » se dégagent. Après avoir d'abord été exclusivement intéressées par leurs activités d'achat, les entreprises de distribution ont peu à peu intégré les activités de logistique puis, à partir des années 1990, elles ont recherché une véritable collaboration avec les fournisseurs. La logistique semble être une des fonctions les plus propices au développement durable de ce nouveau mode relationnel.
