Abstract

Notre analyse a pour but de définir le rôle que jouent les entretiens d'appréciation dans les activités d'innovation. Les contributions individuelles au travail d'équipe étant difficiles à déterminer, le projet d'innovation est confronté à cette problématique avec une spécificité : une indétermination non seulement sur l'échéance mais également sur la possibilité effective d'innover dans les termes définis dans le cadre du projet initial. L'idée directrice de ce travail est que l'entretien d'appréciation des membres des équipes R&D joue au minimum sur deux niveaux. Un premier niveau se structure autour d'une rationalité instrumentale : il s'agit d'évaluer les contenus et processus effectivement développés par les chercheurs au sein des équipes. Un second niveau se noue en termes d'appropriation symbolique : compte tenu des incertitudes qui doivent être assumées, l'objet de l'entretien d'évaluation est aussi et surtout de travailler sur les modalités d'autocontrôle mobilisées par les membres de l'équipe.
