Abstract

La diffusion rapide du mobile et des usages d'internet sont-ils susceptibles de contribuer au développement des entreprises informelles dans les pays en développement et émergents ? Le laboratoire « Les Afriques dans le Monde » (Sciences Po Bordeaux) et Orange ont lancé en 2016 un projet de recherche ambitieux dont l'objectif principal est de renforcer la compréhension des usages numériques des entrepreneurs informels en Afrique Sub-Saharienne. Le projet prévoit plusieurs études, dont une enquête par questionnaire auprès de 500 micro et petites entreprises informelles dans l'agglomération de Dakar, et une enquête ethnographique complémentaire. En amont de ces enquêtes en cours de réalisation, nous avons réalisé un état de l'art détaillé de la littérature portant sur l'usage des TIC dans le monde en développement afin d'identifier les canaux à travers lesquelles ces dernières peuvent avoir un impact sur la dynamique et les performances de micro et petites entreprises informelles. Nous en présentons ici les principaux résultats.
