Abstract

Les auteurs présentent ici une méthodologie d'enquête qui vise à déterminer les facteurs explicatifs des différents mouvements de véhicules de transport de marchandises en milieu urbain (livraisons ou enlèvements) tant sur le plan quantitatif que sur le plan qualitatif. Une telle entreprise doit permettre à terme de dégager des lois entre les activités génératrices, d'une part, les volumes de flux de véhicules et les chaînes logistiques d'autre part. Cette démarche de connaissance doit permettre de mesurer le degré de participation des véhicules utilitaires à la congestion urbaine et de procurer aux décideurs un outil d'aide à la planification et à la réglementation. Elle constitue comme nous le verrons plus loin, une étape essentielle vers une modélisation des déplacements de véhicules utilitaires dans une ville donnée à partir de la connaissance de ses activités.
