Abstract

El artículo de conferencia plantea las bases de una investigación que se realiza en el marco de un proyecto de tesis doctoral, para comprender los fenómenos de periurbanización en ciudades intermedias subregionales y su correspondiente dinámica de gobernanza territorial en Chile. Este trabajo se desarrolla en torno a cuatro puntos: (i) un breve contexto geohistórico a partir de 1973, (ii) las interrogantes sobre el contexto conceptual y el interés de llevarlo a cabo en Chile, (iii) el marco de investigación que incluye la problemática, las hipótesis y el método general, y (iv) la justificación y definición del área de estudio multiescalar.
