Abstract

El presente documento es el primer acercamiento para la realización de una Estrategia Regional de Desarrollo (ERD) en la Región Metropolitana de Santiago (RMS). Este trabajo representa la cooperación entre el Gobierno Regional de la Región Metropolitana de Santiago (GORE RMS) y el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD) en Chile. En la primera parte de la obra, se realiza una caracterización socioeconómica para toda la RMS. Luego se describen las barreras y potencialidades para el desarrollo humano regional. Finalmente se anexa un modelo acerca del concepto de ‘desarrollo' y sus diferentes enfoques y formas de gestión.
