Abstract

El presente Altas Socioeconómico de la Región Metropolitana de Santiago (RMS) es la cuarta versión de un trabajo que ha venido realizando el Gobierno Regional Metropolitano de Santiago, en el marco del Programa Manejo de la Información Territorial (MIT). Las tres primeras versiones fueron elaboradas en convenio con la Universidad de Chile, al alero del Proyecto Bases para un Ordenamiento Territorial Ambientalmente Sustentable (OTAS). Esta versión comprende 12 temas (territorio, asentamientos, población, equidad, viviendas y hogares, industria, recursos naturales y medio ambiente, cultura, gestión municipal y participación, inversión regional, planificación territorial y comunal e infraestructura), los que a su vez se analizan mediante un total de 74 indicadores.
