Abstract

La presente política pública regional pretende contribuir a la planificación y desarrollo de las áreas verdes en la Región Metropolitana de Santiago. La política se justifica ya que en la actualidad no existe un plan maestro y el diagnóstico muestra que existe una distribución espacial desigual, la que depende esencialmente de los ingresos monetarios que perciben las comunas, tanto de la inversión pública como privada. De esta manera, la política analiza la situación actual de la región, examina la diversidad de conceptos y acepciones en torno a la noción de área verde, y finalmente propone una serie de objetivos e indicadores que apuntan a la superación de los problemas detectados anteriormente.
