Abstract

Few researches study the interactions between urban forms and travel behaviours while integrating the residential mobility of households. The aim of this paper is to understand the spatial strategies of individuals who construct their activity spaces, taking into account their social characteristics and their residential movements taking place within the employment area of Luxembourg and its cross-border regions. By using the concept of spatial capital, individual-based analysis highlight behavioural strategies that show the influence of the length of the residential mobility on the dispersion of activity spaces.
