Abstract

L'auteur aborde le thème des dépenses politiques et s'éloigne de la période qui lui est familière (antérieure à 1350) ; il utilise un document qui n'émane pas de l'activité fiscale proprement dite mais qui est à l'amont (les sessions d'une assemblée municipale, où sont prises les décisions de dépenses). Puisque les médiévistes utilisent massivement les sources fiscales pour en tirer des données de toute nature, il est possible de renverser pour une fois la perspective et d'exploiter un domaine non fiscal dans une perspective fiscaliste. la nature de ce document permet à l'auteur d'éluder des problèmes de technique financière et de sa concentrer sur les implications sociales des dépenses.
