Abstract

Ce texte analyse le statut du contexte dans les analyses en sciences sociales. Il est parfois pratiquement absent de l'analyse (les phénomènes décrits sont considérés comme universels). Lorsqu'il est pris en compte, il est souvent neutralisé (il est décrit mais seulement pour mener des analyses toutes choses égales par ailleurs). Ce texte défend l'idée que le contexte s'inscrit en réalité dans un rapport de réflexivité par rapport à l'action et que ces deux éléments doivent être analysés conjointement. Ce texte termine avec quelques remarques méthodologiques sur les moyens dont les chercheurs disposent pour analyser l'interaction complexe qui existe entre l'action et son contexte.
