Présentation de l'éditeur : "La correspondance entre la fille de Léon Walras, Aline et l'économiste américain William Jaffé durant les années 1930-1939, publiée pour la première fois, offre de nouveaux éléments à tout ceux qui s'intéressent à l'histoire de la pensée économique walrasienne et plus généralement à l'histoire intellectuel du XXe siècle. En particulier, elle permet d'apprécier l'ampleur du réseau de communication créé et entretenu autour de Walras par sa fille avec de nombreux chercheurs. Elle révèle aussi les efforts de William Jaffé pour traduire en anglais les Eléments d'économie politique pure et pour diffuser la pensée de ce grand économiste. Le lecteur trouvera aussi de nombreuses informations inédites sur la vie de Léon Walras et de sa famille."
