Abstract

Depuis deux décennies l'enseignement et la pratique de la Statistique sont largement dominés par les procédures calculatoires et logiques des Mathématiques. Les Mathématiques ne sont pas à la portée de tous, alors que la "pensée" statistique doit être partagée par le plus grand nombre.Comment faciliter l'apprentissage de la pensée statistique? "Je n'ai des idées que parce que j'ai des images" a dit EULER. Les Sciences Cognitives cherchent à démontrer que Euler avait raison. Le rôle de l'imagerie dans les processus cognitifs, les stratégies d'apprentissage développées par les apprenants sont actuellement objets de travaux de recherche et leurs résultats commencent à se répandre en dehors de leur communauté de recherche. Les recherches actuelles en Sciences Cognitives peuvent nous apporter des aides pour concevoir des enseignements intelligemment assistés par ordinateur (EIAO).
