Abstract

L'objectif de cette communication est de s'interroger sur les fondements et la portée du processus ncurrentiel dans les services de télécommunications. Les exemples sont nombreux qui incitent à se poser des questions sur la nature de cette concurrence et sur le rôle très actif joué par les opérateurs historiques, censés être malmenés par cette concurrence :Une base de données des alliances, fusions et acquisitions des opérateurs européens de télécommunications sur la période 1996-2007, complétée par des statistiques sur les parts de marché, nous permettra de conforter notre thèse sur les limites de la concurrence dans les services de télécommunications : nous nous orientons de plus en plus vers une concurrence maîtrisée par les opérateurs historiques qui feront converger l'organisation du secteur vers les oligopoles européens.
