Le transport routier de marchandises en Europe en 2005 : la France et l'Allemagne, des pays très cabotés

Abstract

En 2005, la part du cabotage reste limitée en Europe par rapport à l'ensemble de l'activité du transport routier de marchandises : elle représente seulement 0,9 % des tonnes-kilomètres réalisées par les pavillons des vingt-six pays (pays de l'Europe des 25 à l'exception de Malte, plus la Norvège et le Liechtenstein) et 0,2 % de l'activité du pavillon français. Sur l'ensemble des pays, 1,1 % du transport national est réalisé par un transporteur étranger ; en France cette proportion atteint 2,7 %. Le cabotage en France reste effectué essentiellement par des transporteurs du Luxembourg, de Belgique, d'Espagne et d'Allemagne, même si la part de marché de certains diminue, au profit de pavillons de l'Est.
