Abstract

Stakeholder theory is an important commonly used framework for business ethics. But literature and models surrounding this issue are not coherent.The problem of stakeholder theory is the confusion between his object and his nature. This paper examines the different objects and approaches of stakeholder theory. Two different approaches to stakeholder theory, a social science approach and a normative ethics approach, are described and their differences and similarities are examined
