Le paradoxe de la communication/contrôle de gestion

Abstract

La communication correspond actuellement à une préoccupation majeure du management, pourtant elle ne se traduit pas souvent dans la recherche en contrôle de gestion. Ceci peut être dû à l'une des deux raisons suivantes. D'une part, il semble que l'apparence première de simplicité du lien entre contrôle de gestion et communication s'accompagne d'une certaine incapacité à en saisir concrètement des éléments opératoires pour résoudre les problèmes qu'ils posent dans l'entreprise. D'autre part, l'intangibilité et la multidimensionnalité de la communication risque soit de la déconnecter du contrôle de gestion, soit de la confondre avec d'autres concepts (comme l'information et la relation) dans des amalgames réducteurs.L'objectif de cet article est donc de défendre une approche communicationnelle du contrôle de gestion. En se basant sur une revue de l'état de l'art, nous montrons, d'abord que la communication peut être considérée comme une fonction du contrôle de gestion et contribuer ainsi à la réalisation de ses objectifs. Nous présentons, ensuite, une classification des définitions données au contrôle de gestion, en se basant sur une approche communicationnelle. Enfin, nous proposons une définition du contrôle de gestion qui fait référence, explicitement, à la communication.
