Abstract

L'agglomération Strasbourgeoise est l'une des premières à avoir réintroduit le tramway en 1994 pour renforcer l'accessibilité du centre-ville et par la même le revaloriser. En associant le tramway à la notion d'accessibilité elle représente de fait un exemple pertinent à analyser. Elle constitue une aire d'étude d'autant plus intéressante que la mise en place de la première ligne de tramway en 1994 a été suivie en 1997 d'une « enquête ménages déplacements » et en 1999 d'un recensement et ce, avant que ne soient mises en place les autres lignes de l'agglomération.Ainsi nous reviendrons dans une première partie sur la spécificité de la politique de transport menée dans l'agglomération strasbourgeoise notamment en raison de son organisation, dans le centre-ville, autour du tramway. La seconde partie sera consacrée à la notion d'accessibilité, notion centrale dans la politique de transport strasbourgeoise, et à ses répercussions en termes d'offre de transport. Enfin la troisième partie verra cette politique d'accessibilité confrontée à la réalité des pratiques de déplacement qu'elle génère.
