Simulation et système d'information géographique : couplage ou intégration ?

Abstract

La gestion intégrée et dynamique de l'eau nécessite de nouveaux outils d'aide à la décision qui tiennent compte des dimensions à la fois spatiale et temporelle de la consommation en eau. Pour cela, deux approches sont possibles : couplage d'un système d'information géographique (SIG) à un outil de simulation ; intégration des techniques de SIG et des méthodes de simulation dans un outil dédié à la gestion intégrée de l'eau. Nous présentons dans cet article les fondements de ces deux approches à travers un modèle économique de consommation en eau.
