Abstract

La réforme de la Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience (VAE) initie la possibilité d'obtention directe de diplômes au titre de l'expérience construite par l'activité de travail. Cette nouvelle étape de la reconnaissance de l'acquis invite donc à une interrogation générale sur deux plans distincts : celui de son opportunité et celui de ses conséquences. Il s'agit donc dans un premier temps d'identifier les logiques d'acteurs présidant à la mise en oeuvre des pratiques en matière de validation et de dresser les principaux traits du profil de l'expérience française au moment de l'adoption de nouveaux appuis légaux. Dans un second temps, on s'interroge sur la signification de ces textes fondateurs de la VAE et notamment sur leurs effets sur le plan des rôles économiques et sociaux des diplômes.
