Abstract

Le thème de la ségrégation spatiale est un thème classique de la sociologie urbaine. Les économistes ont-ils un apport spécifique sur cette question ? Après avoir présenté différentes approches de la ségrégation, on s'attachera sur le cas particulier d'une ville technopolitaine, à préciser les principes de localisation des activités de haute technologie en fort développement et leur contribution au renforcement de la division sociale des espaces à l'intérieur d'une région urbaine, sur l'exemple de la région grenobloise. Une analyse fine d'un secteur spatial péri-urbain très marqué par ce type d'activité précisera et nuancera les effets de contagion des dynamiques économiques sur les activités résidentielles : maintien des divisions antérieures et de la concentration des populations les plus pauvres sur les espaces centraux.
