Economie fondée sur la connaissance, nouvelles formes organisationnelles et la question des frontières de la firme : une compréhension théorique historicisée de l'entreprise-réseau

Abstract

Dans cet article, on cherche à proposer une compréhension théorique conséquente d'une des nouvelles formes organisationnelles apparues au cours des trois dernières décennies : l'entreprise-réseau. Un tel objectif nécessite selon nous de répondre à deux impératifs : 1) rendre compte théoriquement d'une caractéristique rarement mentionnée mais qui nous apparaît essentielle afin de cerner ce qui fonde véritablement la spécificité de l'entreprise-réseau : l'interpénétration des organisations à propos de la conception du produit et des composants ; 2) articuler une analyse du fonctionnement de cette forme organisationnelle particulière (le comment ?) à une analyse qui intègre les raisons de son émergence (le pourquoi ?). Disposant ainsi d'une compréhension "historicisée" de l'entreprise-réseau, on montre que cette dernière est une réponse organisationnelle au double tournant - cognitif et interprétatif - engendré par l'émergence d'une Economie Fondée sur la connaissance dans la coordination des activités au sein de la sphère industrielle.
