Abstract

El trabajo se estructura en cuatro partes. Tras una breve introducción, la primera expone los efectos que tiene el endeudamiento sobre el desarrollo de los países afectados. La segunda analiza las principales transformaciones experimentadas por los flujos financieros que se dirigen a los países en desarrollo. La tercera se centra en el papel del gobierno de España como acreedor y en los acuerdos realizados de canje de deuda y su política de deuda en el marco de las iniciativas multilaterales que intentan resolver el problema de la deuda. El trabajo concluye con unas reflexiones finales sobre el papel del gobierno en la gestión de la deuda externa.
